Just an update about Bible sudy this week. We will meet this Thursday, March 12th at the home of Anne and Chris Ammons. They are located at the Hewes stop on the JMZ train line. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for exact location. We will start around 7 pm.
I want to start posting the scripture that we are going to look at each week. For those of you planing to attend, it gives you a chance to look over the verses, think about them and bring something to the table. For those of you online, I thought you might like to have these as well, and maybe start your own bible study in your community. Again, feel free to email me with questions or comments!
Last week we looked at Genesis 1:1-31. Try reading this story with fresh eyes. You’ll be suprised what you see. We also decided as a group to memorize Psalm 24:1, “The earth is the Lord’s and that is in it, the world and those who live in it.” Each week we are issuing challenges to each other to take better care of creation. Last week we issued 4 challenges; 1. Turn off the faucet when brushing your teeth. 2. Wash clothes in the coldest water possible 3. Turn off lights, tv, radio when you leave the room for more than 30 seconds. 4. Investigate changing to wind power through your service provider. Here in New York, go to www.newwindenergy.com/switch
This week we will look at Exodus 3:1-6, and Psalm 147. I will post the challenges and memory verse after the study.
To those online, let me know if this kind of update is helpful to you! Those in NY, hope to see you THURSDAY!
